Roero Arneis Il Mandolo

ロエロ・アルネイス・イル・マンドロ

Cantina del Glicine

Arneis

About this wine

Il Mandolo is Cantina del Glicine's 100% Arneis from the Roero DOCG, the estate's only white wine. Annual production is limited to around 5,000 bottles. Its name is a play on 'mandorlo' (almond tree) — the owners wanted to honor an old almond tree planted in the vineyard by their grandparents, but that name was already trademarked, so they adapted it to Mandolo.

Beginner's Note

An approachable, aromatic white — a good match for those exploring Piedmontese wines beyond Nebbiolo reds.

Sommelier's Note

"A rare white from a Barbaresco-focused estate — worth trying for the story behind its name alone."

Food Pairings

Pairs beautifully with delicate seafood, vegetable-based appetizers, and light pasta dishes.

When to drink it

Sunny afternoon lunches, aperitifs, and pairing with seafood-focused meals.
