About this wine
Currà is Cantina del Glicine's flagship single-vineyard Barbaresco, sourced from roughly 1.5 hectares of pale, southwest-facing terraced soil in Neive that Roberto Bruno planted himself. One of the smallest and most prized crus in the Neive commune, it is vinified with long skin maceration and aged for years in large Slavonian oak botti, producing a wine of remarkable concentration, structure, and aging potential. The 2010 vintage earned Gambero Rosso's Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) award.
This is the estate's most serious, age-worthy bottling — best approached by those who already enjoy structured, traditional Nebbiolo.
Sommelier's Note
"The most concentrated, terroir-driven wine in the Glicine range — a Tre Bicchieri-winning benchmark for old-school Neive Barbaresco."
Food Pairings
Pairs beautifully with roasted game, truffle-infused dishes, aged hard cheeses, and savory mushroom risotto.
When to drink it
Special celebrations, formal dinners, or a centerpiece for a serious Nebbiolo tasting.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What makes Currà different from Glicine's other Barbarescos?
- Currà is a single-vineyard (cru) Barbaresco from a small, southwest-facing plot planted by Roberto Bruno himself, giving it more concentration and aging potential than the estate's blended bottlings.
- What does Barbaresco Currà taste like?
- Expect dried roses, red cherry, and earthy spice notes, with firm tannins and bright acidity that support long cellaring.
- When should I drink Barbaresco Currà?
- It benefits from 8-10+ years of aging from the vintage to let the tannins soften and the aromatics fully develop.

バルバレスコ・マルコリーノ
Barbaresco Marcorino
RedNebbiolo
Marcorino is one of Cantina del Glicine's single-vineyard Barbarescos, produced from Nebbiolo grown in the Marcorino vineyard in Neive. Compared to the estate's Vignesparse, Marcorino is often described as the more fine and floral of the two crus, with elegant perfume and refined tannins. Traditional long maceration and aging in large Slavonian oak botti give it classic structure and aging potential. The 2012 vintage received Gambero Rosso's Tre Bicchieri (Three Glasses) award.
バルバレスコ・ヴィーニェスパルセ
Barbaresco Vignesparse
RedNebbiolo
Vignesparse ('scattered vines') is Cantina del Glicine's Barbaresco blended from several different plots within the Neive commune, rather than a single cru. It is generally the more structured and spiced of the estate's two main Barbaresco bottlings, made with traditional long maceration and aging in large Slavonian oak casks, giving it classic firm tannins and a long aging trajectory.
ネッビオーロ・ダルバ・カルカブルーメ
Nebbiolo d'Alba Calcabrume
RedNebbiolo
Calcabrume is Cantina del Glicine's Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC, a 100% Nebbiolo wine offering an earlier-drinking, more approachable expression of the variety than the estate's Barbaresco crus. Production is limited to around 5,000 bottles per year. Its name references Calcabrina, a devil from Dante's Divine Comedy — the winemakers likened Nebbiolo's affinity for morning fog (nebbia/brina) to the character, but had to alter the name slightly since it was already trademarked.
バルベーラ・ダルバ・ラ・スコンソラータ
Barbera d'Alba La Sconsolata
RedBarbera · Nebbiolo
La Sconsolata is Cantina del Glicine's Barbera d'Alba DOC, made from old vines and co-fermented with roughly 90% Barbera and 10% Nebbiolo, which adds structure and aging potential to the naturally high-acid Barbera. Annual production is limited to around 5,000 bottles. Its unusual name ('the disconsolate one') comes from the owners' frustration after repeatedly finding their preferred wine names already trademarked.
ドルチェット・ダルバ・オルミオーロ
Dolcetto d'Alba Olmiolo
RedDolcetto
Olmiolo is Cantina del Glicine's Dolcetto d'Alba DOC, sourced from vineyards on sandy clay soil. Aged in large barrels, it offers the fruit-forward, easy-drinking character typical of Dolcetto with softened tannins, making it one of the estate's most approachable everyday reds.
ロエロ・アルネイス・イル・マンドロ
Roero Arneis Il Mandolo
WhiteArneis
Il Mandolo is Cantina del Glicine's 100% Arneis from the Roero DOCG, the estate's only white wine. Annual production is limited to around 5,000 bottles. Its name is a play on 'mandorlo' (almond tree) — the owners wanted to honor an old almond tree planted in the vineyard by their grandparents, but that name was already trademarked, so they adapted it to Mandolo.
