Casas del Bosque

Sauvignon Blanc

About this wine

Casas del Bosque's ultimate luxury Sauvignon Blanc, sourced from two clones on hillside blocks of Jurassic-era decomposed granite topped with iron-rich red clay (80% Clone 242 from the 'Cantera' block, 20% Clone 107 from 'La Trampa'). Hand-harvested at night from the coldest terroir in Casablanca Valley. Bright straw color with green hints; expressive lime, linden blossom and jalapeño aromas; creamy, yeasty notes from partial barrel fermentation counterbalance crisp minerality and a long, saline finish. Regularly cited by critics as among the best Sauvignon Blancs in South America.

Beginner's Note

For those who already love Sauvignon Blanc and want to taste how serious the variety can get—more texture and depth than an everyday bottle.

Sommelier's Note

"Year after year, critics call this among the best Sauvignon Blancs in South America—proof that Casablanca Valley's coldest sites can rival Sancerre for tension and precision."

Food Pairings

Rich enough for grilled scallops, lobster, or roast chicken with herbs, yet retains the acidity to handle raw oysters and ceviche.

When to drink it

Fine dining, special celebrations, gifting for wine enthusiasts.

Terroir & Winemaking

Sourced from two Sauvignon Blanc clones on hillside granite soils (80% Clone 242 from the 'Cantera' block, 20% Clone 107 from 'La Trampa'), formed on 140-190 million-year-old decomposed granite with iron-rich red clay topsoil. Hand-harvested at night from the coldest sector of Casablanca Valley. A portion of the wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels to add creamy, yeasty complexity alongside the variety's natural minerality.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the Reserva Sauvignon Blanc?
Pequeñas Producciones comes from the single coldest block in Casablanca Valley in tiny volumes, with partial oak fermentation adding creamy, yeasty texture the Reserva doesn't have.
Why is it called "Pequeñas Producciones"?
It means 'small productions' in Spanish, referring to the extremely limited volume made from the estate's most prized parcels.
What food pairs well with it?
Grilled scallops, lobster, roast chicken with herbs, and oysters are all excellent matches.
