Pinot Noir

About this wine

Produced in the cool-climate Casablanca Valley, this Gran Reserva Pinot Noir is a hallmark of Casa del Bosque's mastery of coastal viticulture. It displays a bright ruby color and a complex nose of fresh red berries — strawberry, raspberry, and red cherry — layered with earthy undertones, fine herbs, and subtle spice from oak aging. On the palate, it offers a medium body with elegant, silky tannins, vibrant acidity characteristic of the Casablanca terroir, and a clean, persistent finish. Consistently earning 89–91 points from major critics (James Suckling, Decanter), it is a benchmark expression of Chilean cool-climate Pinot Noir.

Terroir & Winemaking

Grapes are hand-harvested from estate vineyards on the west side of the Casablanca Valley, planted between 2000 and 2010 on decomposed granite soils at around 200m elevation. Crop yields are held to approximately 5 tons per hectare. Whole-cluster and destemmed lots are co-fermented with indigenous yeasts in open tanks. Aged for 10–14 months in French oak barrels (approximately 30% new oak) depending on vintage. The wine is estate-bottled. Alcohol: approximately 13.5% ABV.
