A Toscana IGT named after winemaker Flavia Del Seta, built around the native Ciliegiolo grape (85%), traditionally used to soften Sangiovese but given the lead role here, blended with Sangiovese (10%) and Colorino (5%). The fruit comes from a single, south-west-facing vineyard of 38-year-old organically farmed vines. A fruit-forward, distinctly cherry-scented, feminine style of red.
Ciliegiolo rarely gets to lead — here it does, and the result is one of the most purely pleasurable, cherry-drenched reds in San Gimignano.
New to wine?
Soft, fruity and low on tannin — an easy, crowd-pleasing red for those new to Tuscan wine.
Food Pairings
Its bright, cherry-driven fruit makes it a natural partner for charcuterie, duck, and lighter braised dishes; serve slightly chilled in summer.
When to drink it
Summer lunches, charcuterie boards, light-hearted gatherings with friends
