Cantine Bonacchi is a family-owned Tuscan wine producer now in its third generation, based in Quarrata in the Montalbano hills, Tuscany. Founded in the late 19th century by Enrico Bonacchi as a small grower, the estate expanded under his son Pio and then, from 1965, under Giovanni Bonacchi, who acquired the 100-acre Montemagno Estate to grow the family's Chianti production. Today Cantine Bonacchi farms roughly 90 hectares across four estates spanning several of Tuscany's most prestigious appellations: Chianti Montalbano, Chianti Classico (Casalino Farm, Castelnuovo Berardenga), Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino (Molino del Piano and Molino della Suga), and, since December 2022, a dedicated estate in Bolgheri. The winery is a registered member of both the Consorzio Tutela dei Vini DOC Bolgheri e DOC Bolgheri Sassicaia and the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino. Winemaking is led by Ivan Misuri, winner of the 2020 Giulio Gambelli Prize, who has focused the cellar's approach on temperature-controlled steel fermentation for bright fruit expression alongside barrique and tonneau aging for structure and balance. Cantine Bonacchi produces roughly 2.5-3 million bottles annually and holds ISO, BRC, and IFS certifications, combining artisanal, terroir-driven winemaking with the scale to supply international markets, including private-label programs.
