About this wine

Morellino di Scansano DOCG Vigna Benefizio is a single-vineyard selection from a member's especially well-suited plot, made from Sangiovese with a small addition of Alicante. Aged in new and used barriques for around six months followed by further bottle aging, it shows aromas of rose combined with forest fruit jam, cocoa and undergrowth intertwined with spicy and balsamic notes, and a round, dry palate with good structure and pleasant saltiness. The 2022 vintage won Gold Medals at both AWC Vienna 2024 and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2024.
