Vigna Tea Rosso is an Elba Rosso DOC blend of Sangiovese (Sangioveto) and Syrah grown in the Lo Stipito plot. The two varieties are vinified separately with 10-12 day macerations, then undergo malolactic fermentation before being racked into French oak barriques for 10-12 months. The result is an intensely ruby-red wine with rich varietal aromatics and a generous, balanced palate framed by fine oak and herbaceous notes.
The Syrah component gives this wine more structure and spice than a typical Elba red — a serious bottle from a small island.
