Abrigo Fratelli's flagship red, first produced in 2013 when the family acquired a parcel in the celebrated Ravera MGA cru of Novello — one of Barolo's most prestigious vineyard sites. Vines dating from 1960, 1980 and 2003 grow on calcareous, clay-rich fossil marl soil that gives the wine exceptional freshness and structure. Aged roughly 38 months — about 23 months in large Slavonian oak botti, followed by concrete vats and bottle — it shows violet, scorched earth and leather on the nose, with dried black cherry, clove and tobacco on a full-bodied, firmly tannic palate.

Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC Tardiss

Bottled under the Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC — a more accessible sibling appellation to Barolo and Barbaresco — Tardiss is Abrigo Fratelli's varietal Nebbiolo from vineyards around Diano d'Alba, Novello and Sinio. It is aged in wood (a mix of used oak casks and French barriques) for about 12 months, then rests at least 6 months in bottle before release, giving it Nebbiolo's classic aromatic lift with a gentler tannic profile than the estate's Barolo.

The historic core of Abrigo Fratelli's portfolio: a 100% Dolcetto from the DOCG zone surrounding the family's home village of Diano d'Alba, one of the few Dolcetto appellations to hold DOCG status. Gently crushed and destemmed, it ferments on the skins for 4-5 days at 25-26°C and matures in steel tanks for about 4 months before bottling the February after harvest — a traditional, unoaked style that preserves Dolcetto's classic fruit and floral aromatics.

Lumiè is Abrigo Fratelli's fresh, aromatic white blend of Chardonnay, Arneis and Favorita — three grapes native to or widely planted in Piedmont. The grapes are gently pressed immediately after harvest, fermented at low temperature, matured sur lie for about four months, and bottled the following February, resulting in a light, easy-drinking white that shows the winery's range beyond its classic reds.
