Puti Planet is Katsuki Wines' pétillant naturel (pét-nat) cuvée, a lightly sparkling field blend built around two early-picked estate grapes — Niagara and Portland — plus a small parcel of the rare Black Olympia grape sourced from a fellow grower in Aya, Miyazaki, the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve town celebrated for organic farming. True to Katsuki's minimal-intervention approach, each variety is fermented separately with wild yeast before blending, then bottled unfiltered so natural carbonation and fine lees remain in the wine. The nose shows fresh pear and apple, with melon and pineapple flavors on the lively, effervescent palate, finishing crisp and tightly focused.

Sommelier's Note

Puti Planet shows Katsuki Wines at its most playful — a pét-nat that captures Aya's rare native and hybrid grapes in a single joyful, effervescent glass.

New to wine?

A fun, easy-drinking pét-nat — lively bubbles and fruity aromas make it a great first natural sparkling wine.

Food Pairings

The bright acidity and playful bubbles make it a natural aperitif — pair with citrus-dressed salads, karaage fried chicken, or light seafood appetizers. Its melon and pineapple fruit also works well with fresh fruit and mild, soft cheeses.

When to drink it

A playful aperitif for warm-weather gatherings, picnics, or casual toasts.

Terroir & Winemaking

Field blend of early-harvested Niagara and Portland from Katsuki's own pesticide-free vineyard in Aya, Miyazaki, plus Black Olympia sourced from a neighboring grape grower. Each variety ferments separately with wild yeast at low temperature for about three weeks, then is blended and bottled unfiltered as a pétillant naturel, retaining natural CO2 and fine lees. 750ml bottle.
