Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives
ゲヴュルツトラミネール ヴァンダンジュ・タルディーヴ
Cave de Cleebourg
Gewurztraminer
About this wine
Produced only in exceptional years from late-harvested grapes affected by noble rot (Botrytis cinerea), this Vendanges Tardives Gewurztraminer delivers an explosion of honey, spice and candied fruit aromas with exceptional smoothness and length. The overripe, botrytized grapes concentrate sugar and flavor, typically harvested as late as November.
An indulgent, aromatic dessert wine — a great way to discover botrytized Alsace sweet wines.
Sommelier's Note
"This is Cave de Cleebourg's most opulent wine, made only when nature cooperates — a rare, honeyed expression of botrytized Gewurztraminer worth seeking out in the years it appears."
