Barbaresco Tre Stelle

バルバレスコ・トレ・ステッレ

Cascina delle Rose

Nebbiolo

About this wine

A single-vineyard Barbaresco from the calcareous-soil Tre Stelle cru, where a thin layer of earth over pure limestone yields the estate's most aromatic and fine-boned wine. Expect rose, violet, wild cherry and orange peel with snappy, silky tannins — the ethereal counterpart to the deeper Rio Sordo.

Beginner's Note

The more floral, approachable of the two crus — a gentle way into cru Barbaresco.

Sommelier's Note

"If Rio Sordo is the estate's power, Tre Stelle is its perfume — one of the most floral, precise expressions of Barbaresco you'll find at this price."

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Barbaresco Tre Stelle taste like?
Expect a garnet-red wine with rose, violet, wild cherry and orange peel aromatics, fresh minerality, and fine, silky tannins on a long finish.
Is Tre Stelle ready to drink on release?
Yes — it is racy and approachable young thanks to its lighter, calcareous-soil structure, though it can also hold for up to a decade.
What should I serve with it?
Roast duck, veal dishes, mushroom risotto and semi-aged cheeses are classic pairings; it also works well with Japanese duck hot pot or mushroom rice.
