Barbaresco Marcorino

バルバレスコ・マルコリーノ

Cascina delle Rose

Nebbiolo

About this wine

The estate's newest single-vineyard Barbaresco, from a half-hectare parcel in the Marcorino cru (Neive) that Cascina delle Rose began farming organically in 2018 and purchased outright in 2024. Bright, transparent garnet in color, it shows floral, red-fruit and undergrowth aromas with dense yet silky tannins, adding a third, distinct voice to the estate's cru trilogy alongside Rio Sordo and Tre Stelle.

Beginner's Note

A newer, still-emerging cru bottling — worth trying to see the estate's range in one line-up.

Sommelier's Note

"Marcorino is the newest chapter in Cascina delle Rose's story — complex and long-lived already, it's a cru worth watching as the vines mature."

Food Pairings

Pairs well with braised meats, mature cheeses, and mushroom or truffle-based dishes.

When to drink it

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Marcorino cru located?
Marcorino is a cru in the Neive sector of the Barbaresco appellation. Cascina delle Rose farmed a half-hectare parcel there organically from 2018 and purchased it in 2024.
How does Marcorino compare to Rio Sordo and Tre Stelle?
It adds a third, distinct voice: bright, transparent color with floral and undergrowth notes, dense yet silky tannins, sitting between the power of Rio Sordo and the perfume of Tre Stelle.
Is this a limited-production wine?
Yes — the parcel is only about half a hectare, so production of Barbaresco Marcorino is very limited compared to the estate's other two crus.
