Lungocosta

ルンゴコスタ

Caccia al Piano 1868

Vermentino · Sauvignon Blanc

About this wine

Lungocosta is Caccia al Piano's small-production Bolgheri Bianco DOC, a blend of Vermentino and Sauvignon Blanc (roughly 70/30) rested in fine-grained oak casks and ceramic amphorae along the Bolgheri coast. The result is a white of great balance, aromatic lift, and mineral identity, shaped by the sandy, clay soils and proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its name literally means "along the coast," reflecting the estate's maritime character.

Beginner's Note

A textured, food-friendly white that's a great gateway into Bolgheri's lesser-known but excellent white wine tradition.

Sommelier's Note

"Lungocosta shows that Bolgheri's whites deserve as much attention as its famous reds — textured, saline, and genuinely distinctive."

Food Pairings

Excellent with grilled seafood, shellfish, and Tuscan white bean dishes. Its texture also stands up to richer fish preparations.

When to drink it

Seaside dinners, seafood tasting menus, summer gatherings
