About this wine
A single-vineyard Barolo DOCG from a prized plot in the Bricco Ambrogio cru in Roddi, purchased by the Grimaldi family in 2006 and first vinified separately in 2007. The site's excellent sun exposure and warm microclimate give a Barolo of great elegance, with warm, open aromas of ripe fruit and spice, and a structured palate built on silky, approachable tannins.
An approachable, sun-kissed Barolo — riper and rounder than a typical bottling from the appellation.
Sommelier's Note
"Bricco Ambrogio is Bruna Grimaldi's warmest, most fruit-forward Barolo cru — the ideal bottle for anyone who thinks Barolo is too austere to love."

Excellent with braised beef, roasted game, and aged Piedmontese cheeses such as Castelmagno.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What makes Barolo Bricco Ambrogio different from Bruna Grimaldi's other Barolo crus?
- It comes from a warmer, sunnier plot in Roddi, giving riper fruit character and silkier tannins compared to the more mineral-driven Badarina from Serralunga d'Alba.
- How long can Barolo Bricco Ambrogio be aged?
- Like most cru Barolo, it can develop well for 10-15+ years from vintage, though its approachable tannins also make it enjoyable relatively young.
- What food pairs best with this wine?
- Rich braised or roasted meats and aged hard cheeses are classic pairings, as the wine's tannin and acidity cut through fat while its ripe fruit echoes slow-cooked flavors.

バローロ バダリーナ
Barolo Badarina
RedNebbiolo
The symbolic Barolo of the Grimaldi family, from the Badarina vineyard in Serralunga d'Alba at roughly 450m elevation on white marl, limestone, clay, and sandstone. This cru captures the power and minerality typical of Serralunga terroir, showing medicinal cherry, leather, tar, black plum, roses, and dark earth, with firm, grippy tannins beneath an elegant, fresh frame. Fermented and macerated for about a month, it ages roughly 30 months in a mix of large Slavonian oak and French tonneaux before further bottle aging.
バローロ カミッラ
Barolo Camilla
RedNebbiolo
A cru Barolo DOCG from the Camilla vineyard in Grinzane Cavour, at the estate's home base in the north-east corner of the Barolo zone. Classic aromas of tar and rose lead into ripe strawberry, candied cherry, dark spice, cedar, and hints of chocolate, with medium-to-full body and beautifully rounded tannins that give an immediate, charming character alongside real aging potential.
ネッビオーロ・ダルバ ボヌレイ
Nebbiolo d'Alba Bonurei
RedNebbiolo
A 100% Nebbiolo DOC from vineyards outside the Barolo zone, offering the variety's floral and spicy character with hints of ripe fruit at a more approachable price and earlier drinking window than the estate's Barolo crus.
ランゲ・アルネイス
Langhe Arneis
WhiteArneis
The estate's only white wine, made from Arneis, the indigenous white grape long farmed by the Grimaldi family alongside their red varieties. It shows aromas of white flowers and tropical fruit with a soft, creamy texture on the palate.
バルベーラ・ダルバ スペリオーレ スカッサ
Barbera d'Alba Superiore Scassa
RedBarbera
A 100% Barbera from hand-harvested grapes in Diano d'Alba and Roddi. Intense aromas of red fruit and sour cherry mingle with graphite and menthol notes, leading to a rich, concentrated, mineral, and fresh palate typical of the estate's Superiore bottling.
ドルチェット・ダルバ サン・マルティーノ
Dolcetto d'Alba San Martino
RedDolcetto
A 100% Dolcetto DOC that is extremely approachable, velvety in texture, and easy to love, with aromas of blackberry, plum, lavender, and violet. Deep purple in color, it offers pronounced fruity aromatics of red fruit, blueberry, and raspberry, dry on the palate with good structure, softness, freshness, and a finely tannic finish.
