One of Barone Ricasoli's signature white wines, notable for being produced in a region famous for its reds. Torricella is an 80/20 blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from about three hectares planted in the late 1980s. The wine is fermented and aged 8-9 months in French oak barriques and small barrels, followed by a minimum of six months in bottle, giving it extra intensity and smoothness.
Torricella is the wine that reminds you Chianti Classico isn't only about Sangiovese — this Chardonnay-led blend has real oak-aged ambition.
