About this wine
A single-varietal red made from 100% estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon cultivated at 700m altitude in the Azumino basin. Aged for approximately 8 months in oak barrels, it shows notes of black pepper, cedar, and concentrated cassis-jam fruit, with a full but balanced structure of tannin and acidity. Its 2022 vintage won a silver medal in the European variety red category at the 2024 Japan Wine Competition.
A great introduction to Japanese Cabernet Sauvignon — firm but approachable, with clear varietal character.
Sommelier's Note
"Among Japan's cool-climate Cabernets, this is one of the most precise expressions of the variety — the black pepper and cassis notes are textbook."

A natural match for grilled or roasted red meat, herb-crusted lamb, and aged hard cheeses. Also pairs well with Japanese-style beef stews such as gyu-nikujaga.
