About this wine

A single-vineyard Barbaresco from the small Cottà vineyard in the commune of Neive, purchased by the family in the 1970s and vinified separately for the first time in 2015. The Tortonian marine soil imprint of this historic parcel gives complex, long-lived wines, matured for at least 20 months in German and Austrian oak casks.

Beginner's Note

A savory, earthy cru Barbaresco best appreciated by those already familiar with Nebbiolo's tertiary notes.

Sommelier's Note

"Cottà is the estate's most 'terroir-driven' cru — the Tortonian soil imprint is unmistakable in the glass."

Food Pairings

Complex and savory — pairs with truffle dishes, aged Parmigiano Reggiano, and slow-braised short ribs.

When to drink it

Truffle season dinners or any occasion calling for a savory, structured red.
