Agricola Molino
アグリコーラ・モリーノ
Sole owner of Treiso's Ausario, Barbaresco's rarest cru
Founded in 1991 in Treiso by Virginio Molino and his sons Tommaso, Franco and Dario, Agricola Molino is a family estate at the heart of the Barbaresco DOCG zone, joined in 2013 by grandson Marco. The estate farms 16 hectares across Treiso, Guarene and Costigliole d'Asti, following a permaculture-inspired, low-intervention philosophy that replaces herbicides with mulching. Molino is the sole owner of the Ausario MGA (Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva), a west-facing ridge at roughly 350 metres planted with Nebbiolo since 1958, from which it produces a Barbaresco no other winery can claim — a wine praised by critics for its elegance, structure and ageing potential.
