Château Batailley
Château Batailley is a 1855 Médoc fifth-growth estate in Pauillac, Bordeaux, owned by the Castéja family (Borie-Manoux) since 1961. Its name derives from the 1453 Battle of Castillon, where French forces reclaimed Gascony during the Hundred Years' War. The 60-hectare vineyard planted on deep Günz silica-gravel soils produces around 22,000 cases per year from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. Winemaking is meticulous: each plot is vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, then aged for 16–18 months in French oak barrels. Frédéric Castéja's philosophy is understated excellence — 'We don't shout, we're not flashy. That's not our style.' Vineyard treatments have followed biodynamic lunar cycles since 2010. The estate produces three wines: the grand vin Château Batailley, second wine Lions de Batailley (since 2015), and third wine Pauillac de Batailley. Consistently praised as one of the best-value classified growths in Bordeaux.

Château Bellegrave

Château Clerc Milon
Château Clerc Milon is a 5th Grand Cru Classé estate in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux, acquired by Baron Philippe de Rothschild in 1970. Situated in the northern part of Pauillac between the legendary Châteaux Mouton Rothschild and Lafite Rothschild, the estate encompasses 41 hectares spread across 247 individual parcels. The vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (37%), Cabernet Franc (10%), Petit Verdot (2%), and Carménère (1%), farmed using sustainable, organic, and biodynamic practices. In 2011, a state-of-the-art gravity-fed winery was inaugurated, certified for High Environmental Quality. The wine is aged in 30% new French oak barrels for 14–18 months, producing a beautifully balanced, elegant, and age-worthy Pauillac with flavors of blackcurrant, plum, cedar, and spice. The second wine, Pastourelle de Clerc Milon, launched in 2009, offers a rounder, fruit-forward style. Today, the estate continues to be developed by the third generation of the Rothschild family.

Château Croizet-Bages
Château Croizet-Bages is a Fifth Growth (Cinquième Grand Cru Classé) estate in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux, classified in the historic 1855 Médoc Classification. Founded in the 17th century by the Croizet brothers, the estate was purchased by Paul Quié in 1942 and has remained in the Quié family ever since. The vineyard spans 30 contiguous hectares on the celebrated gravelly ridges of the Bages hamlet, planted with 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot. Grapes are harvested manually and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats; the wine is then aged for 12 months in 25% new French oak barrels. Since the 2018 vintage, quality has markedly improved under Anne-Françoise and Jean-Philippe Quié, producing the finest wines in the château's history — generous, fleshy, and concentrated, with the hallmark cedar, cassis, and spice of great Pauillac.

Château Duhart-Milon
Château Duhart-Milon is the only Fourth Growth (Quatrième Grand Cru Classé) in the Pauillac appellation according to the 1855 Médoc classification. Its vineyard of 76 hectares sits on the plateau of Saint-Lambert, adjacent to Château Lafite Rothschild, the estate that acquired Duhart-Milon in 1962 under Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite). The same technical team as Lafite oversees viticulture: the soils are sandy gravel with variable levels of clay, planted to 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot. Winemaking follows classic Bordeaux tradition — fermentation in stainless steel and concrete vats, around 20 days maceration, then ageing in French oak barrels (50% new) crafted at the estate cooperage Tonnellerie des Domaines in Pauillac. Since the Rothschild acquisition, substantial investment has elevated quality dramatically, especially from the mid-1990s onwards.
