Château Montrose is a Deuxième Cru Classé (Second Growth) in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, situated in the Saint-Estèphe appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. Founded in 1815 by Théodore Dumoulin, who planted vines on land previously covered with pink heather — giving the estate its name ('Mont Rose', meaning 'pink hill'). The château was classified at the very first attempt in 1855, making it the youngest classified growth at the time. The 95-hectare vineyard is an exceptionally rare single continuous parcel overlooking the Gironde estuary, planted with approximately 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot, with an average vine age of 40 years. The estate has been owned by brothers Martin and Olivier Bouygues since 2006, who have invested heavily in both vineyard and cellar. Known as the 'Latour of Saint-Estèphe' for its power and concentration, Montrose produces wines of extraordinary structure and longevity — an 'iron fist in a velvet glove'. Since 2009, the estate has received nine perfect 100-point scores from international critics. The estate is committed to organic farming, targeting 100% certification. The second wine, La Dame de Montrose, is produced from younger vines and parcels between the terraces.

Château Montus is the iconic estate of Alain Brumont, widely regarded as the man who single-handedly rescued the Madiran appellation from obscurity. Established in 1980 on clay-and-pebble terroir in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Brumont relentlessly championed the indigenous Tannat grape and pioneered low-yield, new-oak vinification long before such methods were fashionable in southwest France. Today Château Montus stands as the undisputed reference point for Madiran, earning the estate the soubriquet 'the Petrus of the Southwest.'

Château Moulin de Clotte is a historic estate dating back to 1890, located in Les Salles de Castillon — a village just a few kilometers east of Saint-Émilion. Under the stewardship of Françoise Lannoye of Vignobles Lannoye, the château overlooks 8 hectares of vineyards planted with 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Malbec on clay-limestone (argilo-calcaire) soils. The estate's name recalls the locality of 'La Clotte' and an ancient windmill, of which only the millstone remains at the property entrance. Each parcel is vinified separately, followed by a post-fermentation maceration at 28°C for approximately 15 days to extract fruit while preserving roundness, then aged in vats for 18 months. The estate produces several cuvées, including the flagship Château Moulin de Clotte, the premium Arion, and the no-added-sulfite L'Authentique. The wines are regularly recognized by the Guide Hachette des Vins and medals from prestigious French competitions.

Château Moulin de Launay is a 74-hectare family estate located in Soussac, in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation of Bordeaux. Named after the Butte de Launay — the highest point in Gironde at 153 meters above sea level — the estate has been in the Greffier family for five generations and over 150 years. The family has always specialized exclusively in dry white wines, resisting the trend in the 1970s to uproot white vines for reds. Ludovic Greffier took full control in 2016, continuing the estate's mission of quality-driven white wine production. The clay-limestone soils and naturally cooler microclimate of the Entre-Deux-Mers region allow the six grape varieties grown here — Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Sémillon, Muscadelle, Ugni Blanc, and Colombard — to express remarkable freshness and aromatic complexity. The estate practices total grass cover, maintains low yields (under 3,300 vines per hectare), and is progressively converting to organic viticulture at approximately ten hectares per year. It also works with the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels of Aquitaine to preserve the biodiversity of the Butte de Launay.

Located in the Fronsac appellation of Bordeaux, Château Moulin-Haut-Laroque is a historic estate with roots tracing back to 1607, when Jean-Marie Hervé, a sailor from Brittany, served the King of France. Records show the estate began bottling its own Bordeaux wine in 1890, making it probably the first property in Fronsac—and all of Bordeaux—to bottle and sell its own wine. Jean-Noël and Dominique Hervé elevated the estate to world renown from 1977. After Jean-Noël's passing in 2020, his son Thomas Hervé has continued the family legacy. The 16-hectare vineyard sits on both the hillsides of Saillans and the highest plateaus of Fronsac, with clay and limestone soils. The estate is best known for its flagship Fronsac, vinified with Michel Rolland as consulting oenologist. It also produces a second wine, Hervé-Laroque. A plot of 100-year-old Malbec vines contributes a distinctive 5% to the blend. The 2006 vintage was featured in the acclaimed Japanese manga 'The Drops of God,' with Jean-Noël Hervé described as 'the last samurai.'
