Chardonnay Nishina is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in Omachi, Nagano, at the foot of the Northern Japan Alps, by the Omachi Grape Growers Association under contract with Swiss Village Winery. The name 'Nishina' was chosen through a public naming call among Omachi residents and refers to the historic Nishina district (the area around the Nishina Three Lakes) that gives the growing area its identity. A dry white wine, best served at 8-10°C.
Named for Omachi's historic Nishina district, this Chardonnay offers a lighter, more everyday counterpart to the winery's single-vineyard Premier Aokihara bottling.
