Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Sinano Wine's home vineyards in Kikyogahara, Shiojiri — the gravelly, diurnally-swinging terroir the winery has long cultivated alongside its signature Merlot. Carefully macerated and aged over 14 months in new French oak, this dry red shows a fragrant, elegant character with ample fruit and a lingering finish, crafted to pair as comfortably with Japanese cuisine as with red meat.

Sommelier's Note

Proof that Japanese Cabernet Sauvignon doesn't need to imitate Bordeaux — Sinano's version leads with elegance and food-friendliness over sheer power.

New to wine?

An approachable, food-friendly cabernet with soft, polished tannins — a good entry point into Japanese-grown Bordeaux varietals.

Food Pairings

Its firm tannins and structure make it a natural match for red meat — lean beef steaks or grilled wagyu in particular — while its elegant, restrained fruit also complements richer Japanese dishes such as sukiyaki or simmered beef.

When to drink it

Special dinners featuring red meat, gifts for wine lovers, and everyday pairing with heartier Japanese dishes.
