An approachable entry point to Cavallotto's Nebbiolo, sourced from younger vines across the estate's Bricco Boschis, Vignolo, Codana and Pernanno parcels. Vinified in much the same way as the estate's Barolo but with a shorter oak-aging period, it shows classic Nebbiolo aromas of red berry, wild rose, hay and cedar, with a dry, full-bodied palate of strawberry, bitter orange and spice.
This is the wine to hand someone who says they 'don't get' Barolo — same DNA, same vineyards, none of the intimidation.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How does Langhe Nebbiolo differ from Cavallotto's Barolo?
- It uses fruit from younger vines in the same estate vineyards, and is aged for a shorter 15-18 months in oak versus 3+ years for the Barolo, making it lighter and ready to drink sooner.
- Is this a good introduction to Nebbiolo?
- Yes — it shares the same fermentation and vineyard sources as Cavallotto's Barolo but is more approachable in youth, making it an ideal entry point into the grape and the house style.
- What food pairs well with this wine?
- Its bright acidity and moderate tannin make it versatile with roast chicken, mushroom dishes, salumi and tomato-based pasta.
- Should this wine be decanted?
- A short 20-30 minute decant or simply opening the bottle ahead of time is enough to let its aromatics open up; it does not need the long decanting Cavallotto's Barolo requires.
