About this wine

A 100% Dolcetto grown on a roughly 1-hectare plot at 300m elevation overlooking the Barbaresco tower — the very hill where Barbaresco was born. Calcareous limestone soil with sandy veins and vines averaging 40 years old give this light, juicy red bright aromas of blueberry and fresh plum, with a soft, food-friendly finish.

Beginner's Note

Light, juicy, and low in tannin — the friendliest possible introduction to Piedmontese red wine.

Sommelier's Note

"Grown on the very hill where Barbaresco was born, this Dolcetto proves that Cantina del Pino's obsessive terroir focus applies just as much to its everyday wine as to its grand crus."
