About this wine

Tangano is Cantalici's Super Tuscan, a Toscana IGT rosso blending equal parts (about a third each) Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Pre-fermentation cold maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in stainless steel, with malolactic fermentation in barriques for the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and in steel for the Sangiovese, before the wine is matured in French oak for around 18 months.

Beginner's Note

A bolder, international-style red for fans of Cabernet and Merlot who want a Tuscan twist.

Sommelier's Note

"Tangano is Cantalici stepping outside the Sangiovese box — a dense, French-oak-driven Super Tuscan that proves the estate can play the international game as well as the traditional one."

Food Pairings

Built for richer fare: braised short ribs, roasted lamb, and dishes with dark chocolate or black pepper notes echo the wine's own profile.

When to drink it

Dinner parties, steak nights, gifting to Bordeaux-style red lovers
