Bruno Giacosa

Arneis

About this wine

One of only two Piedmontese producers making Arneis by the 1970s (alongside Vietti), Bruno Giacosa has long been considered a benchmark for this ancient white grape native to Roero since the 1400s. Grown on the sandy, clay-rich hills north of Alba, the wine is fermented entirely in stainless steel to preserve its bright acidity, delivering aromas of white flowers, sage, and crushed stone with notable textural concentration rarely found in everyday Arneis.

Beginner's Note

A great entry point into serious Piedmontese white wine — fresh and easy-drinking, yet with more depth than most Arneis.

Sommelier's Note

"If you think Arneis is a simple aperitif wine, this bottling will change your mind — it has the concentration to stand up to a full meal."

Food Pairings

A classic match for vitello tonnato, crudo, and shellfish; equally at home as an aperitif. Pairs well with Japanese dishes like white fish carpaccio, tempura, or delicately seasoned tofu.

When to drink it

Aperitif, casual lunches, and seafood-focused dinners.
