About this wine
Laire is Bruni's Riserva-tier Morellino di Scansano, blending Sangiovese (Morellino) with Syrah to bridge tradition and innovation. Produced in a small volume of about 12,000 bottles a year, it undergoes the extended aging the Riserva designation requires — at least one year in wood — reaching roughly 12 months in barrique before release.
A step up from Marteto — denser and more age-worthy, but still approachable.
Sommelier's Note
"Where Marteto is everyday charm, Laire shows what Morellino can do with patience and oak — dense, velvety, built to age 6-8 years."
Food Pairings
Its dense, velvety structure calls for grilled red meats, game, and aged hard cheeses.
When to drink it

オルトレコンフィーネ
Oltreconfine
RedAlicante (Grenache)
Created to celebrate Azienda Bruni's 40th anniversary, Oltreconfine ('beyond the border') is a 100% Alicante (Grenache) wine made in tiny quantities of around 2,500 bottles a year. It has repeatedly earned Gambero Rosso's top Tre Bicchieri rating and shows dark cherry, honey-coated almond, spice and scorched-earth notes.
マルテート
Marteto
RedSangiovese · Syrah · Alicante
Marteto is Bruni's flagship wine and the very first Morellino di Scansano the estate ever produced. A blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Syrah and 5% Alicante, it is macerated on the skins for 15-18 days and aged partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barrels. The estate bottles roughly 200,000 bottles a year, making it Bruni's most widely available wine.
プリニオ
Plinio
WhiteVermentino · Viognier
Named after Pliny the Elder, author of the first viticulture manual, Plinio blends 85% Vermentino with 15% Viognier. Straw yellow with green highlights, it shows an intense floral and fruity bouquet of exotic fruit, peach and wildflowers, with a fresh, full palate and long mineral finish. The 2022 vintage scored 92 points from Falstaff.
ペルライア
Perlaia
WhiteVermentino
Perlaia is Bruni's late-harvest style Vermentino, made from a selection of the estate's best coastal Maremma grapes left extra time on the vine to reach full ripeness. It shows an explosion of white peach, pear, citrus and floral notes, richer and rounder than a classic Vermentino.
ポッジョ・デルサ
Poggio d'Elsa
RedSangiovese · Cabernet Sauvignon
Named in honor of Elsa Bruni, the family's matriarch, Poggio d'Elsa blends Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon (roughly equal parts, though the ratio shifts by vintage — 77%/23% in 2023). Wet stone, wild herbs and grilled smoke meet strawberry and cherry fruit, with soft tannins and real depth.
