Borgo Casa al Vento

Sangiovese · Merlot

About this wine

T'amo is Borgo Casa al Vento's Toscana Rosso IGT, an organic 50/50 blend of Sangiovese and Merlot at around 13.5% ABV. The grapes ferment on the skins for 25-30 days with temperature control, then age about 10 months in oak barrels followed by 4 months in bottle. The wine offers an intense, persistent bouquet balancing Sangiovese and Merlot character, with floral notes, red and black fruit such as cherry and blackberry, and spicy hints of licorice and pepper, finishing dry and well balanced.

Beginner's Note

A soft, rounder everyday red — a gentle entry point thanks to the Merlot's fruit and lower tannin.

Sommelier's Note

"T'amo softens Casa al Vento's Sangiovese backbone with Merlot's roundness — an easygoing red for everyday tables."

Food Pairings

Pairs wonderfully with hearty pasta dishes such as pappardelle with wild boar ragù.

When to drink it

Casual weeknight dinners and pasta nights.
