Rocca Guicciarda Riserva

ロッカ・グイッチャルダ・リゼルヴァ

Barone Ricasoli

Sangiovese · Merlot · Canaiolo Nero

About this wine

Named after Rocca Guicciarda, once one of the most important estates within the Ricasoli property, this Chianti Classico Riserva is composed of roughly 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot and 5% Canaiolo Nero. It is aged about 21 months in wood followed by 3-6 months in bottle, resulting in a traditional, structured Riserva with an austere, complex character.

Beginner's Note

A step up from entry Chianti — more structure and complexity, still approachable.

Sommelier's Note

"Rocca Guicciarda proves that a Riserva doesn't need to be flashy — it just needs to be honest, and this is one of the most honest Riservas in Chianti Classico."

Food Pairings

Full-bodied and structured, it pairs beautifully with bistecca alla fiorentina, braised beef, game and aged hard cheeses.

When to drink it

Special dinners, red-meat-centric menus, a step-up gift bottle.
