Costera

コステーラ

Argiolas

Cannonau · Bovale Sardo · Carignano

About this wine

Costera is Argiolas' Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, built on approximately 90% Cannonau (the Sardinian expression of Grenache) with small additions of Bovale Sardo and Carignano. Aged for around 9 months in French oak barriques, the wine shows a deep ruby to garnet color with aromas of very ripe strawberries, black cherries, herbs, and spice, gaining rounded tannins and notes of vanilla from its barrel aging. Warm and full on the palate thanks to southern Sardinia's intense sunlight, Costera is a medium-to-full-bodied red with the fruit-forward, sun-soaked character typical of the island's benchmark Cannonau.

Beginner's Note

A sun-drenched, fruit-forward red that's an easy way to discover what Cannonau is all about.

When to drink it

Weeknight red-meat dinners and casual gatherings with friends.
