Argiolas

Vermentino

About this wine

Costamolino is Argiolas' benchmark Vermentino di Sardegna DOC and the estate's most widely recognized white wine, made from 100% Vermentino grown near the coast of southern Sardinia. Fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures with a brief aging on fine lees (a small portion undergoes malolactic fermentation for added roundness), the wine preserves the island's fresh, saline terroir character. The nose shows linden flower, ripe peach, citrus, and hints of pine and Mediterranean herbs, while the palate delivers stone fruit and lemon zest cut by bright, lasting acidity and a soft, textured finish. It is designed as a fresh, contemporary wine best enjoyed young.

Beginner's Note

An easy, food-friendly introduction to Sardinian white wine — crisp, citrusy, and never heavy.

Sommelier's Note

"The definitive everyday Vermentino from Sardinia — few wines capture the island's sea breeze as honestly as Costamolino."

Food Pairings

A classic match for seafood antipasti, shellfish, fregola with clams, and fish soups. Its bright acidity also cuts through fried foods and soft, semi-aged cheeses.

When to drink it

Everyday seafood dinners, casual lunches, and summer aperitivo.
