Brunello di Montalcino

ブルネッロ・ディ・モンタルチーノ

Argiano

Sangiovese

About this wine

Argiano's flagship Brunello, produced from 100% Sangiovese (the local Brunello clone) grown on the estate's ancient calcareous marl soils above 350 metres in the southernmost part of Montalcino. Aged around 30 months in large Slavonian oak botti, it shows a classic profile of red cherry, wild mint, blood orange and dried herbs, with the estate's signature freshness and mineral drive.

Beginner's Note

A benchmark, food-friendly Brunello — elegant rather than heavy, a great entry into the appellation.

Sommelier's Note

"Argiano's Brunello proves that power and elegance are not opposites — this is one of the appellation's most food-versatile expressions."

Food Pairings

A classic match for bistecca alla fiorentina, wild boar ragù, and aged Pecorino Toscano. The bright acidity also cuts through rich braised meats.

When to drink it

Special dinners, milestone celebrations, and pairing with hearty Tuscan cuisine.
