Akane Barrel Aged is a dry, medium-bodied red wine from Amanohashidate Winery in Miyazu, Kyoto, made primarily from Saperavi grown in Kyoto and blended with Seyval 13053. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels, it shows a bright ruby-red color, toasty oak aroma, gentle tannins, and the vivid, fruity acidity characteristic of Saperavi. Like all of the winery's wines, it is produced from 100% domestically grown grapes without heat pasteurization.

Sommelier's Note
