AKASAKA Vineyard

赤坂ヴィンヤード

Estate-grown Sorachi grapes, crafted via contract winemaking at Yamazaki Winery

AKASAKA Vineyard is a boutique wine producer in the Tatsufu district of Mikasa City, in Hokkaido's Sorachi region. Founder Takuya Akasaka trained for six years at the neighboring Yamazaki Winery before starting his own vineyard on adjacent land, growing Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris. The wines are produced through contract winemaking (itaku jozo) at Yamazaki Winery using estate-grown grapes. The debut release, DOG WOOD 2023 (Hanamizuki), a dry white wine, sold out shortly after launch. AKASAKA Vineyard is a member of the Sorachi Wine Association, which supports the region's growing community of small-scale, terroir-focused producers.
