Favorita

About this wine

An elegant, lively expression of Favorita from a single parcel in Diano d'Alba at around 330m altitude with south-east exposure and calcareous marl soils. Cold, short pre-fermentative skin maceration is followed by soft pressing, fermentation, ageing on fine lees, and at least 12 months of bottle maturation. Pale straw yellow with delicate greenish reflections; a rich, multifaceted bouquet of white and yellow flowers, citrus fruit, toasted nuts and spice, with good acidity and lively drinkability.

Beginner's Note

A more textured, complex Favorita than the base bottling — a good next step for those who enjoyed the entry-level Langhe Favorita.

Sommelier's Note

"Fama proves Favorita can carry real weight and complexity — lees ageing and single-parcel focus give it a texture rarely seen in this variety."

Food Pairings

A step up from everyday whites — pairs with richer seafood dishes, white meat, and semi-aged cheeses.

When to drink it
