About this wine
A medium-sweet rosé from 8 Vineyard (8 vin-yard MISAKA), made from 100% Muscat Bailey A grapes grown in Misaka Town, Fuefuki City, Yamanashi. Crafted using only free-run juice for a clean, elegant profile, it shows a delicate cherry-blossom pink hue and bright strawberry-like aromas balanced by refreshing acidity. Notably bottled in a traditional 1800ml isshōbin (one-shō bottle) format, making it a generous-value option distinct from the winery's dry rosé (Birei / 美令), which is a separate, drier cuvée sold in 375ml half bottles.
An easy, welcoming entry point into Japanese wine — its gentle sweetness and berry-candy aromas make it approachable even for those new to wine.
Sommelier's Note
"A textbook example of Muscat Bailey A's charm in rosé form — its free-run-juice purity and generous 1800ml format make it an exceptionally approachable everyday Japanese wine."

The gentle sweetness pairs naturally with Japanese home cooking — think yakitori glazed with sweet-savory tare sauce, simmered dishes (nimono), or chirashi-zushi. It also complements salt-seasoned tempura and fresh strawberry desserts.
When to drink it
A casual, crowd-pleasing choice for home gatherings, izakaya-style dinners, or relaxed weekend drinking thanks to its generous 1800ml format.

8ヴィンヤード 八千蔵 マスカット・ベーリーA 2022
8 Vineyard Yachikura Muscat Bailey A 2022
RedMuscat Bailey A
The flagship red of 8 Vineyard (8 vin-yard MISAKA), Yachikura Muscat Bailey A is sourced exclusively from vines over 60 years old in the Yachikura district of Misaka Town, Fuefuki City, Yamanashi — one of Japan's most storied grape-growing districts. Growers carefully limit the number of clusters per vine so that nutrients concentrate in each berry, and a portion of the juice is drawn off before fermentation (a saignée-style technique) to raise the ratio of skin contact, yielding a wine with deeper color than typical Muscat Bailey A. The 2022 vintage shows a vivid ruby hue, ripe red-berry and wild-strawberry aromas with a light floral lift, and a clean, well-balanced finish with moderate, well-integrated tannins — avoiding the overly sweet, candied character sometimes associated with the variety.
美令 マスカット・ベーリーA ロゼ
Birei Muscat Bailey A Rosé
RoséMuscat Bailey A
Birei ("beautiful decree/order") is a dry rosé crafted by 8 Vineyard (New Yamanashi Wine Brewing) from specially selected, high-sugar Muscat Bailey A grapes grown in the Ninomiya district of Misaka Town, Fuefuki City, Yamanashi — around the historic Miwa Shrine vineyards. Made using only the clear, settled portion of the free-run juice, the wine is fermented and then aged in stainless steel tank for six months to preserve fruit purity and freshness. First produced in 2019 (the first year of the Reiwa era, from which the wine takes its name) and released on June 5, 2020, it pours a delicate, pure cherry-blossom pink and offers vivid strawberry aromas balanced by crisp, refreshing acidity — a clean, elegant expression of Japan's signature red grape in rosé form.
