A rosé made entirely from Campbell Early grapes grown in Aya, Miyazaki Prefecture, and produced by Unkai Wine Brewery, the wine-making arm of shochu maker Unkai Shuzo. Using 100% domestically grown grapes and a low-temperature, unheated (cold) bottling process, the wine preserves the variety's soft sweetness and vividly fruity, candy-like aroma in a light, approachable 9% ABV style. It is sold mainly through liquor retailers in the Kyushu region and online shops.
This is Campbell Early rosé in its most unpretentious, everyday form — sweet, aromatic, and honest about what it is, without the polish (or price) of its more famous Miyazaki cousin from Tsuno.
New to wine?
A gentle, low-alcohol rosé with candy-like fruit aroma — an easy first step for anyone new to Japanese wine.
Food Pairings
Its soft sweetness and low alcohol make it an easy match for lightly sweetened or mildly spiced dishes — think teriyaki-glazed chicken, fruit tarts, or mild cheeses. As a Japanese-food pairing, it works well alongside sushi rolls with sweet glazes (unagi, inari) and simple grilled fish.
When to drink it
Casual gatherings, light afternoon sipping, or as an easy-drinking aperitif before a Japanese meal.
Terroir & Winemaking
