MMCP Blush is Seven Cedars Winery's dry rosé, made by vinifying a portion of each red grape variety the winery works with that year using white-wine techniques (direct pressing, plus partial saignée for smaller lots), so the wines are barely macerated on their skins. The name is an acronym of its blend: Muscat Bailey A (71%), Merlot (15%), Cabernet Sauvignon (9%) and Petit Verdot (5%), sourced from growers in Katsunuma and the winery's own Fuji-Kawaguchiko vineyard. Built around the concept of 'a rosé that pairs with desserts,' it keeps the charming sweet red-fruit aromas typical of black grapes while staying dry, with bright acidity and tannins kept deliberately light. The 2025 vintage shows a beautiful rosé hue and aromas of blackcurrant, peach, plum jam, raspberry jam and apricot; the palate is dry yet voluminous, with refined complexity and excellent balance — an elegant, food-friendly rosé that drinks well young or with some bottle age.

Sommelier's Note

MMCP Blush proves rosé doesn't need to choose between charm and structure — its acronym blend of Muscat Bailey A, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot delivers sweet-fruited aromatics with genuinely dry, well-balanced tannin and acid, a rare combination in Japanese rosé.
