Muscat Bailey A Rosé is a still (non-sparkling) rosé from Komaki Vineyard's estate winery, Domaine Enchante, on the southern slopes of the Yatsugatake mountains in Kobuchisawa, Hokuto City, Yamanashi. Made from 100% Muscat Bailey A grapes grown in Hokuto, it is naturally fermented and bottled unfiltered. The wine shows aromas of strawberry and rose petal, with soft tannins and balanced acidity for an easy, pleasant drinkability. Unlike the winery's semi-sparkling ROSE BUBBLES (also 100% Muscat Bailey A) or the Bordeaux-variety blend TROIS ROSE, this cuvée is a clean, still expression of Japan's signature red grape.

Sommelier's Note

This still rosé is the purest expression of Muscat Bailey A in Komaki Vineyard's lineup — no bubbles, no blending, just the grape's strawberry-and-rose character shown with clarity and soft, easy tannins.

New to wine?

A friendly, fruit-forward rosé that's an easy first taste of Japan's own Muscat Bailey A grape — light tannins and juicy berry notes make it approachable even for those new to red or rosé wine.

Food Pairings

A versatile food wine — enjoy with light charcuterie, grilled chicken, or salmon. It pairs especially well with Japanese cuisine such as tempura, sushi, and dishes seasoned with soy or dashi, where its soft tannins and berry fruit complement umami without overpowering it.

When to drink it

Casual lunches, picnics, and everyday dinners with Japanese food — a relaxed, easy-drinking rosé rather than a special-occasion bottle.

Terroir & Winemaking

Produced from 100% Muscat Bailey A grown in Hokuto City, Yamanashi. Naturally fermented (indigenous yeast) and bottled unfiltered without a secondary fermentation, making it a still rosé rather than a sparkling wine. Bottle size 750ml. Vinified at Komaki Vineyard's on-site winery, Domaine Enchante.

What food pairs well with it?
It pairs especially well with Japanese cuisine — tempura, sushi, and dashi-based dishes — as well as grilled chicken and light charcuterie.
