A single-varietal white wine made entirely from European Chardonnay grapes grown on Kawakami Farm's own vineyards in Sakurai, Nara Prefecture — one of only a handful of Nara producers cultivating this cool-climate-favoring variety in a notoriously difficult local climate.

Sommelier's Note

One of the very few 100% Chardonnay wines grown and bottled in Nara Prefecture — a small-scale expression of a famously difficult-to-ripen variety in this region.

New to wine?

A gentle, approachable introduction to Japanese-grown Chardonnay from a small family vineyard.

Food Pairings

Its crisp acidity and light body make it a versatile match for delicate white-fleshed fish, grilled chicken, and fresh soft cheeses.

When to drink it

Currently sold direct-to-consumer by inquiry only — a discovery bottle for wine lovers exploring lesser-known Nara producers.
