Kawakami Farm

川上農園

Estate-grown European varieties, hand-crafted wine from Nara

Located in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture, Kawakami Farm is a grape farm that expanded from table-grape and juice production into winemaking. After years of trial brewing, the farm completed a red wine made entirely from grapes grown on its own land — including European wine varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Seibel, and Zweigelt that are considered difficult to cultivate in Nara's climate — and obtained an alcohol sales license to begin selling it alongside its table grapes, 100% grape juice, and blueberry jam.
