Nadore White is a semi-sweet white wine from Iwate Kuzumaki Wine, made from Steuben and Niagara grapes grown in Kuzumaki Town's cool northern highlands. It offers a gentle, pear-like aroma with fresh fruit sweetness and a soft, approachable body, making it one of the winery's most popular easy-drinking wines. Sold in both 360ml and 720ml bottles under the same product code family (W003), it has won a string of accolades over the years, including a Bronze medal at the 2015 Japan Wine Competition (North American varieties, white), a Bronze medal at the 2024 Japan Wine Challenge, Gold ratings at the 2018 and 2019 'Best Wine of Japan' tasting events, and a Platinum rating at the 2019 edition in the amateur white/sweet category.

Sommelier's Note

One of Kuzumaki's most consistently awarded whites for a reason — its pear-sweet charm makes it the easiest possible introduction to Japanese wine.

Food Pairings

Its pear-like sweetness and soft acidity pair beautifully with fruit desserts, mild cheeses, and lightly spiced Asian dishes. With Japanese food, it complements karaage (fried chicken), tempura, and simmered dishes with a touch of sweetness such as nimono, balancing their savory-sweet notes.
