Fore Red is one of Iwate Kuzumaki Wine's founding releases, launched in 1988 alongside the winery's original Yamabudo Wine. Made primarily from Muscat Bailey A blended with Bailey Alicant A — both classic Japanese-bred hybrid grapes — it is a dry, medium-bodied red with bright, refreshing acidity and soft, well-balanced tannins. Its clean, approachable profile has kept it a long-running favorite, decorated at Japanese wine competitions almost every year since 2006 and most recently awarded Silver at the 2026 Sakura Award.
Kuzumaki's founding red since 1988 — proof that an honest, well-made Muscat Bailey A blend can keep racking up wine competition medals decade after decade.
