Nadore Red is one of Iwate Kuzumaki Wine's core, entry-level reds, a dry, light-bodied blend built around Campbell Early and Yamabudo (Japanese wild grape), rounded out with Black Pegar and Muscat Bailey A. Campbell Early lends a bright, strawberry-like aroma while Yamabudo contributes elegant, lively acidity and soft, gentle tannin, giving an easy-drinking, well-balanced red. Sold in both 720ml and 360ml formats, it has been a frequent medalist at Japanese wine competitions, most recently earning Silver at the 2025 Sakura Award and Gold at the 2026 Sakura Award, following earlier Bronze awards at the 2019, 2021 and 2022 Japan Wine Challenge.
Kuzumaki's most approachable red — Campbell's strawberry lift and Yamabudo's clean acidity make Nadore Red the easiest on-ramp into Japanese wild-grape wine.
