VILLAQUA Yellow is a Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay grown in the misty Miyoshi basin of Hiroshima Prefecture. It is part of VILLAQUA, Hiroshima Miyoshi Winery's second-line brand positioned alongside the winery's flagship TOMOE series — where TOMOE showcases single-vineyard and barrel-driven expressions, VILLAQUA offers a more playful, everyday-drinking range distinguished by color-coded labels (Yellow for this Chardonnay sparkling, Pink for a Pinot Noir sparkling). Crafted with traditional sparkling winemaking techniques to produce fine, persistent bubbles, VILLAQUA Yellow shows an aromatic bouquet of honey, pear and apricot, fruit-forward flavors, balanced acidity and a full-bodied, dry finish. It has been recognized internationally with Silver medals at Decanter World Wine Awards (2023, 2024, 2026) and the IWSC (2024, 2025), a Silver at the IWC (2024), and a Bronze at the Japan Wine Competition (2025).
A well-balanced Blanc de Blancs sparkling from Hiroshima that punches above its everyday price — honeyed fruit and fine bubbles make it a reliable go-to for celebrations.
