TOMOE Delaware is Hiroshima Miyoshi Winery's signature slightly-dry white wine made from 100% Delaware grapes grown in the Miyoshi basin of Hiroshima Prefecture. The nose opens with green apple, star fruit and delicate white-flower notes of baby's breath and lily of the valley, developing into honeyed apple, pear, tropical fruit and jasmine as it warms in the glass. Fruit-derived sweetness is balanced by refined, lively acidity, giving a juicy, fresh and approachable character distinct from the winery's oak-aged 'Private Reserve' bottling of the same variety. The wine has earned consistent recognition at the Japan Wine Competition, including a Gold Medal and Cost Performance Award for the 2022 vintage.

Sommelier's Note

This is the wine that proves Japanese Delaware deserves serious attention — its layered aromatics and Gold Medal pedigree make it one of Miyoshi Winery's most consistently rewarding bottles.

New to wine?

A gentle, easy-drinking introduction to Japanese Delaware wine — fruity, lightly sweet-edged, and never intimidating.

Food Pairings

Excellent with cheese, quiche, gratin and pan-fried white fish meunière, as well as fresh leafy green salads. In Japanese dining it shines alongside tempura, sashimi and other delicately seasoned dishes, and makes a refreshing aperitif on its own.

When to drink it

Casual lunches, garden parties, or a chilled aperitif on a warm afternoon.

Terroir & Winemaking

Made from 100% Hiroshima-grown Delaware grapes harvested in the Miyoshi basin. Unlike the winery's oak-aged 'TOMOE Delaware Private Reserve', this standard bottling is vinified without oak contact to highlight the variety's natural aromatic freshness. 750ml bottle, ABV 12.5%.
