JUNTOS (Spanish for 'together') is a micro-sparkling (frizzante) collaboration cuvée from Grape Republic, blending two grapes from entirely different origins: early-harvested Delaware from the winery's own vineyards in Nanyo City, Yamagata, and Garnacha Blanca grown and vinified in Navarra, Spain. The Delaware is direct-pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 10–14 days, then blended with the Spanish Garnacha Blanca white wine, with a small addition of sulfites (about 10ppm) just before bottling. The result is a light, hazy, low-alcohol sparkling wine with aromas of grapefruit and pear, fresh fruit flavors balanced by a soft creaminess from the natural lees, and a light, compact finish reminiscent of Grape Republic's popular 'Piquette' bottling.

Sommelier's Note

JUNTOS is a small but telling example of Grape Republic's playful, boundary-crossing approach to natural winemaking: two grapes that would never naturally meet — Yamagata Delaware and Navarra Garnacha Blanca — brought 'together' into one light, hazy, low-alcohol sparkler. It's less about complexity and more about the fun of an unlikely pairing that simply works.

New to wine?

A great entry point into Japanese natural sparkling wine — low in alcohol, easy-drinking, and gently hazy rather than fully cloudy, with a fruity, uncomplicated character.

Food Pairings

The bright acidity and fresh fruit character pair well with dishes using raw herbs, and its soft, hazy texture suits food with a dairy element — think a tuna and mizuna cold pasta or a carrot and chicken breast salad with honey yogurt dressing.

When to drink it

Best served well chilled as a casual aperitif or with a light, herb-forward meal — its playful 'togetherness' of two very different grapes makes it a fun conversation-starter bottle to share.
