Aromatico is a lightly sparkling frizzante from Grape Republic in Nanyo, Yamagata. Early-harvested Delaware forms the base, blended with Niagara and Neo Muscat, while directly pressed Steuben juice with residual sugar is added just before bottling to keep fermentation continuing in the bottle. No antioxidants are added. The result is a fresh, apple-scented wine with fine, creamy bubbles and a bright sweet-tart balance.
Aromatico shows Grape Republic's minimal-intervention approach at its most approachable: the Steuben-driven in-bottle refermentation gives a genuinely natural fizz you won't find in mass-produced sparkling wine.
