Gokase Winery's Chardonnay is made from 100% locally grown grapes cultivated in the cool, high-altitude terroir of Gokase, Miyazaki Prefecture, roughly 600-660 meters above sea level in the Kyushu mountains. The dramatic day-night temperature swings of this mountain vineyard site help preserve natural acidity and bright fruit character typical of cool-climate Chardonnay. It is offered in both a standard 750ml bottle and a half bottle.
A rare mountain-grown Chardonnay from Kyushu — Gokase's 600m+ elevation vineyards give it a freshness not often found in Japanese Chardonnay.

An approachable, food-friendly white from one of Kyushu's few mountain wineries — a good introduction to Japanese-grown Chardonnay.
Food Pairings
